DRAFT - PENDING LEGAL REVIEW
Terms of Service
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Gulbrandsen & Co., LLC, doing business as The Progress Bridge ("Progress Bridge", "we") for using the Progress Bridge website and app. By creating an account you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information, especially children's.
Accounts
- Parent and teacher accounts are for adults (18 or older). Children use the app only through a profile their parent creates.
- Signing up currently requires an invite code.
- You're responsible for keeping your password and your children's login codes private, and for activity under your account.
- A parent may add only children for whom they are the parent or legal guardian, and must give consent as described in the Privacy Policy before a child's profile is created.
Teachers
A teacher sees a child's information only after the parent links that child and agrees to share. Teachers may use that information only to support the child's learning, must not copy it out of Progress Bridge for other purposes, and must follow their school's policies.
Uploads and copyright
Parents and teachers can upload photos or PDFs of homework and classwork. Those pages often belong to a publisher or another author.
- Your rights. You may upload only material you have the right to share for your child's (or class's) learning, and you confirm this each time with the checkbox on the upload screen. Please don't include more personal information than needed (for example, avoid photos of a child's face). You keep whatever rights you have in what you upload.
- Our limited license. You give Progress Bridge a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store and process each upload, including sending it to our AI provider, solely to identify the subject, grade, skill and difficulty of what was taught. We don't publish, share, or reproduce uploads, show them to children or other users, or use them to train AI models. This permission ends when the upload is deleted.
- What we keep. We keep only our own short summary (subject, grade, skill tags, difficulty, and a description in our own words) and delete the original right after it's processed, or within 7 days if processing fails. Practice questions we write afterward are original: new wording, numbers, names and context, checked automatically so they don't copy the uploaded page.
- Copyright complaints (takedown). If you believe something on Progress Bridge infringes your copyright, email copyright@theprogressbridge.com with: your contact information; a description of the copyrighted work; where the material appears on our service (for example, the question text); a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We remove or disable the material promptly, keep a record, and tell the uploader where appropriate. A user who believes material was removed by mistake may send a counter-notice to the same address.
- Repeat infringers. We will suspend or terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly upload infringing material.
- Designated agent. Our designated agent to receive notices of claimed infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) is: Erik Gulbrandsen, Gulbrandsen & Co., LLC, 6601 Hillcrest Ave, Suite E PMB 2010, Dallas, TX 75205, (682) 503-9018,copyright@theprogressbridge.com (U.S. Copyright Office registration DMCA-1082669).
Seats and payment
Each child profile uses a seat. Seats may be free (for example, from an invite code) or paid by subscription through Stripe. Paid subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from your account, and the seats stay active until the end of the paid period.
Acceptable use
- Don't try to access other families' or teachers' information, guess login or invite codes, or interfere with the service.
- Don't copy, resell, or scrape our lessons and questions.
Our content and the service
Lessons and questions belong to Progress Bridge. We work hard to make them accurate and age-appropriate but provide the service "as is", without guarantees of specific learning results. It supplements, and does not replace, a child's schooling. We may change or discontinue features; if we shut the service down we will give notice and a chance to download your children's data.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Privacy & your data page, which deletes your children's information too. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Progress Bridge is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and governing law
We'll tell you by email about material changes to these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
